Whitaker consulted unofficially with ethics officials. They advised he should recuse. Whitaker than refused. Although this is a bad act, it’s likely not an impeachable offense but could be part of Mueller’s obstruction of justice case.
Verified: Multiple sources including Whitaker himself have confirmed this act. The debate is whether it’s bad or not.
