I write about science, philosophy, genealogy, music, and technology. Across the range, the goal is the same: make useful ideas clear, enjoyable, and worth carrying forward. My books to date include six computer books, five family history books, and a three-volume drum series.

My latest book is 30 Philosophers: A New Look at Timeless Ideas, the first book in my 30 Series. This new series explores the great ideas that shaped us — philosophy, evolution, math, physics, history, and the long human search for truth. Each book takes a fresh look at thirty turning points, using story, evidence, and reflection to make complex ideas easier to understand and more enjoyable to explore.
