About Ideas and New Looks
People have new ideas all the time. I would go so far as to say most people craft new, at-least-to-them, ideas every day. It’s hard to know for sure if your new idea is worthy of anything or not. In my book, “30 Philosophers: A New Look at Timeless Ideas,” I present what I think are new ideas about some very old thoughts. I also think I included some truly new ideas too, but it’s so hard to know for sure if they are just new-to-me, or new to us. If us, how new? Afterall, no new ideas today are created from the void. Even Einstein’s Theory of Relativity was an extension of Galileo’s Relativity Principle. Anyway, here are some of what I think might be new ideas. Be gentle. I’m just a dude thinking about existence who writes about philosophy and science while avoiding the irrational and unknowable.
