Crime: Papadopoulos lies to the FBI

On Jan 27, Papadopoulos lies to the FBI. Lying to the FBI is a crime (U.S. Code, title 18, section 1001). Colluding with a foreign government to influence an election is a crime too: Federal Campaign laws (accepting tangible things from a foreign country). Papadopoulos lied to the FBI about timing, extent, and nature of his interactions with senior Russian government officials. He said his interactions with the Russian government occurred BEFORE he became a Trump adviser. That’s a lie. Why? Did Trump direct him? See Papadopoulos Timeline.
