Think Well Path: 5-4-3
Start here if your first question is: “How do I think more clearly?”
The Think Well Path begins with the tools of judgment. You’ll explore how ideas form, how reasoning works, how thinking goes wrong, and how public truth is tested through science, law, and journalism.
This is the 5-4-3 path: Five Thought Tools, Four Mind Traps, and Three Truth Hammers. It is TST’s practical path for sharpening your mind, testing claims, and building intellectual discipline.

Agnosticism
No one can investigate everything. In real life, we are all agnostic about most things, and that is not weakness. It is a survival skill. Use explorative agnosticism when a mystery matters to your journey. Use apathetic agnosticism when it does not. Wisdom is learning the difference.

“Where ignorance is bliss, ’tis folly to be wise.”

Ignorance
Part of a poem about the carefree ignorance of children.
Truth matters, but not every truth needs your full attention. A germophobe needs good hygiene, not obsessive knowledge of every microbe on every surface. Strive to removing illusions that trap you, but also allow yourself peaceful ignorance when more information does not improve life. Wisdom is calibrated knowing. Turn off the news when you start to feel depressed or angry.

FAQ
How does the Idea of Ideas handle counterfactuals?
Counterfactuals
Counterfactuals are useful, but they do not get special treatment. The word “if” can open a scenario, but it cannot make a false premise true. In the Idea of Ideas, every counterfactual must still answer to reality. Some are rational, and some remain speculative or disproven. None are empirical.
