Definitions are the starting point of clear communication. In philosophy, where words like truth, belief, reality, morality, and knowledge carry heavy meaning, careful definitions help keep ideas from sliding past each other.
Subject: Philosophy.
Philosophy does not live in definitions alone, but it cannot function well without them. If two people use the same word in different ways, they may argue for hours without touching the real disagreement. TST Definitions gives key terms a clear starting point so ideas can be compared, tested, refined, and understood.

Wittgenstein argued that language sets the boundaries of understanding. What we cannot express in words may still be experienced.
Subject: Epistemology.
Linguistic skepticism is the idea that language cannot fully represent what we experience. In contrast, epistemological skepticism is the broader notion that humans can never fully understand reality, whether due to cognitive limitations, the existence of other realms, or other fundamental constraints.
