Trump Breaking or Bending the Whistle Blower Law

Another 4 Trump crimes uncovered in last 24 hours:

Trump Crime 1: Cory Lewandowsky testified under oath that Trump directed him to refuse to answer questions from Congress preventing Congress from performing their constitutional oversight duty written into the constitution by our Founding Fathers.

Trump Crime 2: A whistleblower submitted a complaint to the IG that said Trump went way beyond his Article II powers and promised something to a foreign leader that broke the law. CNN reported that Trump asked Ukraine to interfere in our 2020 election in exchange for the $250 million in support. Reporting says that Trump asked Ukraine about 8 times to investigate Joe Biden’s son.

Trump Crime 3: By law, the Trump-appointed IG reviewed the complaint and made the decision to pass it on to Congress as the law mandates–clearly an IG decision by law. The Trump-appointed temp DNI and the DOJ stepped in and said no. The IG is insisting to Congress that these complaints meet the credible and urgent standard set in the law and that his boss, the DNI, and the DOJ are wrong for blocking it. This is part of a pattern of obstruction committed by Trump.

Trump Crime 4: Rudy Giuliani confirmed tonight on CNN that he broke the law for Trump this summer and went to Ukraine and asked them to interfere in our 2020 election and “investigate” Joe Biden. We knew about this at the time, but hopefully Giuliani’s video confession will persuade some Trump supporters.

The Whistleblower Law: It was created to protect and help enforce the separation of powers. You know, THE one thing that the United States of America contributed to the world supporting democracy and freedom.

IG to Congress, today the IG testified under oath that the complaint falls within the responsibility of the IG’s office and the DNI and DOJ should NOT be interfering.

Follow Up: Representative Denny Heck on the Intelligence Department announced on CNN at 3:15 PM PST that Trump is clearly breaking the law.

Counter Argument 1: The DOJ/DNI Argument is likely based on Article II of the constitution and simply that the president is above the law.

Reply: Leaders, including Presidents and Kings, are not above the law. This was settled in 1215 with the Magna Carta and held up in various courts for 800 years including in America in 1974 with United States v. Nixon, 418 U.S. 683.

Counter Argument 2: Trump says he would not say anything on the phone because he knows it is recorded.

Reply: Fair enough. Let the the IG and the Intelligence Committee to their jobs then.

Counter Argument 3: Trump has an absolute right to declassify anything he wants.

Reply: True, let the IG and IC do their jobs then.
