Frameworks vary, but reality does not.

Mike's Takeaway:

That’s the bottom line.

Now, let’s explore this quote a bit more…

Human beings interpret the world through frameworks. Culture, language, science, religion, philosophy — all are structured lenses through which we organize experience. These frameworks vary across time and place. They evolve. They compete. They fall out of favor and are rediscovered.

But reality itself does not vary with interpretation. The material world does not bend to preference, culture, or consensus. Gravity functions whether believed in or not. Biological limits operate regardless of ideology. Cause and effect proceed without consulting opinion polls.

TST embraces all types of ideas — speculative, fictional, scientific, spiritual — but it does not treat them as equally aligned with reality. Frameworks are human constructions. Truth is the degree to which those constructions align with what is.

You are free to choose your framework. You are not free to choose the consequences of misalignment. Calibration matters.

When a source is corrected or expanded, it can be updated once at the tidbit level and reflected everywhere it appears.
TouchstoneTruth is a living body of work built around single ideas, each explored carefully and revised openly over time.
